My new year started with a bang! (fireworks, cocktails and scbs) well it has been for the past few years :) I love my scbs to bits. As crazy and as wacky as you guys are, (..okok Im pretty wacky myself) seeing you and having you guys around keep me sane. *grins* I love you!
But to be honest, my new year was exceptionally quiet..actually the quietness came after 2am.hehe..
On the first day of 2007, my cousins, Mandy and I got together to bake cookies and to reflect on 2006. We discussed our best/worst things, most embarassing moments, sweetest moments, significant people, achievements and , of course, our new year resolutions. I couldnt recall most of the first half of 2006, hmm..perhaps the cookies were too distracting...
Worst things about 2006: I was misdiagnosed by my doctor for a disease i shall-not-disclose. (5 weeks of unnecessary medication)
I suppose Christmas, Youth Camp and 'December' didnt give me that much time to reflect on the previous year. These things take several days, doncha think? But I must say that 2006 has been extremely wonderful, and God has been extremely good to me. I´ve experienced a lot, gone through a lot, enjoyed myself immensely, made so many new friends and at the same time learnt a lot about myself, about some of the people around me, and about life too.I know that I´ve barely scraped the surface, and there is still so much more to learn, but nevertheless I am grateful. Very much so. I realise that a perfect New Year is one that is spent with the people that you love. And it doesn´t matter what you do or don´t do. As long as you are surrounded by people that mean something to you, that is all that really matters.
Here's to a fabulous new year ahead.
